When purchasing a head only voyager swimming pool cleaner please know that you are purchasing just the cleaner including all attachments and only one hose, this being the leader hose which you need for the voyager. You can connect to your previous hoses purchased from a different pool cleaner. The universal hose adaptor is included in the box in order for you to connect to a different hose.

In order to determine hose length, assemble with the first hose at the cleaner being the leader hose, then take the cleaner to furthest point it needs to clean from your weir point. It should reach there and have an extra hose length available to move around. If not, you need additional hoses. If the hoses are too long, then you need to remove one at a time to get the optimum length. Too many hoses are not good and effects the performance of the pool cleaner.
